Making requests in your will

Wills are not only for distributing your estate. You can also make requests within your Will, such as the unusual but touching instruction US comedian Jack Benny left when he died in 1974.

In a magazine article published soon after her husband's death, Mary Livingstone wrote, “Every day since Jack has gone, the florist has delivered one long-stemmed red rose to my home.

"I learned Jack actually had included a provision for the flowers in his Will. One red rose to be delivered to me every day for the rest of my life.”
